Welcome to the EMBL E-STAR Homepage

As part of the EU's Sixth Framework Programme (FP6) the Marie Curie Fellowships for Early Stage Training (EST) were created to provide early stage researchers with structured scientific or technological training opportunities. E-STAR is the abbreviation for "Early-Stage Training in Advanced Life Science Research" and is the name given to EMBL's ESRs. EMBL provides the ideal setting for students to learn skills that complement their scientific research. This high standard of training is complemented by the international nature of EMBL, promoting the mobility of its early-stage researchers. This website gives an overview of the EMBL E-STARS, who we are and what we do.
